Alaska ICE through the Association of Alaska School Boards is offering its seventh annual TOPs (Training of Promoters) in Anchorage April 8-9 2010. This workshop is open to organizations (including schools) that work with youth, and/or to those who have an idea for an art project (visual or performance) that involves adults and young people working together.

Through this workshop, participants will:

· Learn how the arts can help build healthy youth-adult relationships
· Find out how to promote the positive development of youth
· Be able to use and enhance asset building activities in your communities
· Be eligible to submit a proposal to help fund a community project (after completion of workshop)

Cost: Free! Expenses and air travel will be covered but workshop numbers are limited.
Please apply by March 19 to secure your spot.

2010 Artist TOPs Brochure

At Alaska ICE, we believe in the ability of the arts to stimulate positive change in young people, strengthen youth-adult relationships, enhance the education of young Alaskans, and strengthen the sense of community in a school, village, or city. The arts can be an effective and compelling way to inspire and motivate a young person to realize his or her full potential.
