AASB invited to talk at the Rural Providers Conference

The Rural Providers Conference, an annual gathering of substance abuse providers, youth, Elders and family members interested in celebrating and encouraging the continual growth of the Alaska Native Sobriety Movement took place May 30 – June 3 in Dillingham. In its 28th year, the RPC was jointly sponsored by RurAL CAP and the Bristol Bay Native Association.

AASB Community Engagement Educator Bridget Smith gave a presentation on the developmental assets and protective factors that are built when young people can work with adults on Youth-led Service Projects. Alaska ICE sponsors between 30 and 45 projects a year.
